With Mount Sanitas hovering above the Newlands to the west and North Boulder Park sitting in the middle – the Newlands has an outdoorsy, neighborhood feel. Bikers, runners, dog- walkers are always out and about here – partly because of the proximity to the trails, parks and downtown, partly because most homes only have small private outdoor spaces. But mainly, it’s just the vibe of the community.

Lolita’s is the lone 24-hour mart (with the exception of 7-eleven) with a little of everything and high price tags for the convenience.

The Kitchen:
Everything is farm-fresh and delicious at this nice but low key restaurant. Don’t miss out on their weekend brunch.

Ideal Shopping Center: In my opinion, the only thing this shopping center is missing is a nail salon. Besides that, you never need to go anywhere else. There is a: Whole Foods (it’s confusingly called Ideal Market), pharmacy, laundromat, dry cleaner, flower shop, barber shop, coffee shop, present store, eye glass store, wine shop, etc.
