Lying awake in a sleeping bag on a wood floor in an empty living room staring at barren walls – I was too giddy to sleep. I was filled with excitement that I could drill holes wherever I wanted, I could invest in furniture. I was relieved for having the feeling of being at home – even as I lay on a floor – for the first time since I left my childhood home in Scarsdale, N.Y. for college. I was ecstatic for finding my perfect condo in the perfect downtown Boulder location, for being a homeowner.
It is the memory of this wonderful moment, my professional experiences and my personality that motivates and enables me to be a successful real estate broker.
I am a journalist with an entrepreneurial spirit and have real estate running through my veins as my family and I have owned and managed Manhattan real estate since 1958.
I graduated from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. After graduation I was a reporter for the Eagle Valley Enterprise in Eagle, Colo., a correspondent for the Vail Daily in Vail, Colo. and then a reporter for The Daily Voice on the East Coast. It was during this stint in New York that I realized Colorado – the outdoor activities, the beauty and the quality of life – had stolen my heart and that I had to return.
In 2011, I moved to Boulder and in keeping with the city’s entrepreneurial spirit started a niche women’s accessory company. The company didn’t last but my love for Boulder has.
My journalism education and experience together with starting a company and being around the real estate business my whole life has equipped me with a unique set of skills that has enabled me to be a successful real estate broker.
I am a fanatical investigator and researcher. I am a great listener and believe in prompt, informative and articulate communication. I am a savvy negotiator. While being tough, persistent, disciplined and a go-getter, I am usually a hugger instead of a hand-shaker, a people person.
