Mapleton Hill

Atop a small hill overlooking Boulder’s bustling downtown sits a serene and historic neighborhood — Mapleton Hill. Mapleton Avenue – the Park Avenue of Boulder – a wide, tree-lined boulevard runs through the center. Large Victorians, many with grand porches and sprawling lawns (relative to Boulder lots) built in the late 1800s early 1900s, are perched on Mapleton Hill. Most of these homes look their age on the outside, due to designated historic preservation regulations, but most have had facelifts on the inside creating modern-meets-old world-charm interiors and usually come with price tags in the $3 million to $4 million range. There are also more unassuming homes in this area. Still built in the 19th and early 20th century these homes have a more bungalow-style feeling with smaller lots. Mapleton Hill is centrally located for easy access to outdoor recreation, notably the popular 3.2 mile in-town Mount Sanitas/Sanitas Valley Trail loop, and is a 5 to 15 minute walk to Pearl St.
